The Nets unceremoniously waived Yogi Ferrell, their undrafted rookie point guard, Thursday, but have little indication what they’re planning going forward.
Ferrell, a 6-foot point guard out of Indiana, was signed to a training camp contract and given a $100,000 guarantee. As training camp ended, Ferrell was the last player cut. Then, in early November, after being signed by Long Island, Ferrell was brought up, filling in after Jeremy Lin, Isaiah Whitehead and Greivis Vasquez were all hurt ... and Vasquez was waived.
Ferrell appeared in 10 games for the Nets posting averages of 5.4 points and 1.
