Taurean Prince makes Nets case in romp over SESI Franca Basquete

It’s hard to draw any conclusions from a preseason blowout, even harder when it’s against an overmatched Brazilian team.

But after all the Nets came back from their weeks of workouts in Los Angeles gushing over Taurean Prince, the forward went out and backed up all the praise in Friday’s preseason opener.

Brooklyn drilled Sesi Franca Basquete 137-89 at Barclays Center, and it was Prince who led the way with a silky shooting touch that was every bit as smooth as advertised.

Prince — expected to contend for the starting power forward spot while Kevin Durant rehabs following Achilles tendon surgery — poured in a team-high 22 points on 8-of-10 shooting, and went 6-of-8 from 3-point range.
