Sorry Jarrett ... NBA bans ‘ninja-style’ head bands

The NBA has announced that it will no longer permit players to wear what it called ‘ninja-style headwear,” which many players wore last season as part of their loyalty to Nike, who distributed and marketed the head bands.

Allen was among the bands’ aficionados, wearing them regularly and looking a lot like 60’s rock star Jimi Hendrix with his throwback Afro and headband.

Allen, Miami’s Jimmy Butler, Minnesota’s Karl-Anthony Towns, New Orleans’ Jrue Holiday and the ClippersMontrezl Harrell, among others — had regularly worn ninja-style headgear.
