All the inhabitants of NetsWorld and its neighboring basketball universes are currently concentrated on the stars of tomorrow rather than those of today, understandably so. We’re just a few hours away from the NBA Draft — a little get-together many have been waiting for, but none more than the Brooklyn Nets.
Brooklyn hosting the grand event has nothing to do with that. Rather, it’s the team’s league-leading six draft picks, five of which are first rounders. So while the Nets might not be at the front of the buffet line, picking eighth, 19th, 22nd, 26th, 27th, and 36th, they’ll be carrying the biggest plate.
