Rondae Hollis-Jefferson took a trip down the New Jersey Turnpike and across the Delaware River to his hometown of Chester PA the other day ... and got a surprise on arrival.
The Chester Community Charter School, his alma mater, named their gym The Rondae Hollis-Jefferson Gymnasium in honor of the town’s local hero. There was a sign, a ceremony and some surprised remarks by the Nets forward.
Hollis-Jefferson had no idea this was coming, reported KYW Radio in Philadelphia. He recalled his eight years at the school — the good and the bad — and choked up a little.
