For the third time in five years, the Nets will leave Brooklyn for their training camp. The team announced Tuesday that they will hold camp at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. The Nets held training camp at Duke, Billy King’s alma mater, in 2013 and 2015.
The camp will be held at Annapolis from Tuesday, September 26, through Saturday, September 30. The team will then return to the HSS Training Center in Brooklyn. Their first preseason game is Tuesday, October 3, vs. the Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
The academy is a four hour drive from Brooklyn, but like Duke, Annapolis offers an opportunity for the team to bond in somewhat of a cloistered, basketball-only environment.
