As expected —and reported piecemeal— the Nets will play four preseason games but only two in New York, one each at Barclays Center, the opener on October 4, and at Nassau Coliseum, the closer on October 18.
The preseason schedule also includes two games vs. the Lakers. For the first time since 2015, the Nets and Knicks will not play against each other in preseason.
The preseason schedule tips off on Oct. 4 when the Nets host Franca Basquete of Brazil at Barclays Center. Franca was the runner-up in the Brazilian national league championships last season.
