LOS ANGELES — Yonkers native Sean Kilpatrick was trying to cram in a couple hours of sleep between a back-to-back with the D-League Delaware 87ers when his phone woke him. His agent was on the other end with a message that was as short as it was sweet: You’re going home.
Brooklyn inked Kilpatrick to a 10-day contract Saturday, capping a whirlwind span that saw him play for the 87ers in Portland, Maine, on Thursday, fly back to Delaware early Friday morning and fly across country to join his hometown NBA team in the midst of a road trip here Saturday.
