And that one should be Nets second-round draft pick — No. 40 overall — Rodions Kurucs, who finalized a four-year deal worth about $7 million with his NBA team Monday. Kurucs, a 6-foot-9 forward from Cesis, Latvia, gets three years guaranteed with the fourth year a team option, according to his agent, Arturs Kalnitis. The Nets dream Kurucs will provide anything resembling the impact fellow Latvian, the currently injured Kristaps Porzingis, has had on the Knicks.
While the Nets officially welcomed a new player to Brooklyn, they said goodbye to another, as Dante Cunningham accepted a one-year free-agent deal with the Spurs, sources confirmed.
