Nets’ Kyrie Irving could still be weeks away from injury return

With Caris LeVert nearing a return, Kyrie Irving still hasn’t been cleared for contact and appears to be weeks away from getting back out on the court.

Specialists told The Post on Dec. 4 that Irving’s injury would keep him out for weeks, and there could be more than meets the eye with the vague catch-all term of shoulder impingement. Now Heavy.com reported he could be out two to three more weeks with what the Nets are privately calling “thoracic bursitis.”

Dr. Armin Tehrany – founder of Manhattan Orthopedic Care – told The Post on Tuesday that such a diagnosis still could be handled non-surgically, but will still keep Irving sidelined for a couple more weeks “at least.
