With Jeremy Lin out for at least two weeks — and likely more — with a hamstring injury, the Nets got a sneak preview of what life will be like without their top two point guards.
Apparently they can compete. It remains to be seen if they can win.
The Nets defended well and fought hard. But they shot poorly, looked dysfunctional at the worst times on offense, and in the end they lost 99-95 to the Hornets in front of 15,775 at Barclays Center on Friday night.
Without Lin and backup Greivis Vasquez, it’s no shock the Nets (2-4) saw Charlotte point guard Kemba Walker torch them for a game-high 30 points.
