The day we’ve all been waiting for in Nets World. The Nets and its fans endured two consecutive losing seasons in the post-big 3 era, including a 26-56 record this past year. The solace in all the losing was finally owning its own pick, the big payoff from Sean Marks trade of three future assets to the Rockets for the return of Brooklyn’s own picks in 2025 and 2026.
The Nets were finally allowed to be bad. It was encouraged. And now they have their first lottery pick since 2010 (who they traded at the deadine.) The eighth pick was disappointing and still is, but they have five first-round picks to work with, plus cap space and assets to use in more trades.
