In G-League Draft, Nets prefer shooters

The G-League draft is over and barring any late breaking trades, the Long Island Nets will come away with four players, all 6’7” or under, all shooters.

The Nets had one pick in the first round, three in the second.

Long Island’s top pick was Thomas Wimbush, a 6’7” swingman out of Division II Fairmount State. He went No. 4 overall.

Wimbush played for Division II finalist Fairmont for four years. In 2016-17, he led Fairmont with a 16.4 point per game scoring average as well as 6.2 rebounds per game. He shot 58.
