G League suspends its season after NBA’s announcement

As expected, the NBA G League has officially suspended the 2019-20 season in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Unlike the NBA, the G League players are more susceptible to being infected by the virus due to their travel arrangements. The teams in the G League fly commercially for a majority of their season to away games. NBA teams fly in private jet charters or private team planes.

In terms of the Long Island Nets, the Nets G League affiliate, the team commonly flew commercially out of local airports such as JFK International Airport, LaGuardia Airport, and Newark Liberty International Airport.
