Ever since opening night, Andrea Bargnani has been slowly disappearing. After breakout out in his Brooklyn Nets debut with 17 points, his minutes and production have slowly been waning away. So the question is: why has Bargnani disappeared, and what reason could Coach Lionel Hollins have for reducing his role in the rotation dramatically?
While Bargnani is certainly a force on offense, he struggles mightly on defense. When he was matched up against Lamarcus Aldrige and Tim Duncan in the Spurs game, he was unable to stop them at all. Bargnani has never been known for defense, but on a team severely lacking in post defenders, Bargnani just does not offer enough to be worthy of a lot of minutes.
