Brooklyn Nets Waive Yogi Ferrell, Roster Down to 14

The Brooklyn Nets announced Thursday afternoon that they waived rookie point guard Yogi Ferrell. Ferrell played in 10 games for the Nets, averaging 5.4 points and 1.7 assists in 15.1 minutes per game. This move brings the Nets’ roster down to 14 players.

Prior to signing with the Nets on November 9, Ferrell played for the Nets’ D-League affiliate, the Long Island Nets. The former Indiana Hoosier participated in Summer League and the preseason with the Nets, and was impressive in both. He was called up to Brooklyn likely due to the Nets’ lack of depth at point guard.
