Two slumping teams look to get well against one another Monday night when the Brooklyn Nets host the Dallas Mavericks at Barclays Center.
The Nets (32-33) have dropped their last three games and dropped behind the Detroit Pistons (31-31) into seventh place in the Eastern Conference after the Pistons topped the Toronto Raptors on Sunday.
The Mavericks (27-35), meanwhile, have lost six of their last seven games, a portent that may not be terrific for Brooklyn, which has been blown out in three straight games by teams who were coming in off losses.
The Nets were hammered Saturday night on the road by the Miami Heat, taking their worst loss of the season in a 117-88 drubbing.
