The Brooklyn Nets announced late Thursday afternoon that they have signed free agent guard Spencer Dinwiddie. This move comes just hours after the Nets waived rookie Yogi Ferrell.
After the Nets waived Ferrell, it was clear that they were going in another direction to fill the void at point guard. Ferrell, aside from Jeremy Lin, was the only true point guard on the Nets’ roster, and there is still no timetable for Lin’s return. Bringing Dinwiddie in adds another player onto the team who can be solely used at the point.
