D’Angelo Russell’s offseason isn’t off to a great start. According to A.J. Perez of USA TODAY Sports, the Brooklyn Nets point guard was cited for marijuana possession on Wednesday night.
“Brooklyn Nets All-Star point guard D’Angelo Russell was cited at a New York airport Wednesday night after marijuana was found in his checked baggage, a person with knowledge of the incident told USA TODAY Sports,” wrote Perez.
“Russell, who was flying from LaGuardia Airport to Louisville International Airport, was questioned by police after a routine search flagged what at first glance appeared to be a can of Arizona Iced Tea.
