DeMarre Carroll will be entering his second season with the Nets. He was acquired via trade with the Toronto Raptors in July 2017.
Many considered Carroll a salary dump by Toronto, but the 6-foot-8 forward proved them wrong. He had a career season, averaging 29.9 minutes, 13.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
Heading into the offseason, rumors started to swirl regarding Carroll and a possible trade. Instead, Nets general manager Sean Marks decided to trade Jeremy Lin to the Atlanta Hawks to free up $12.5 million in cap space.
