Another career night for a player, but another loss for the Liberty

Australian Rebecca Allen finished with a career-high 28 points for Liberty (8-16) Tuesday, the latest New Yorker to have a big night recently, but Liberty lost its six straight and nine of its last 10, a reminder of last season’s late collapse.

Final score at Westchester County Center: Minnesota Lynx 89, New York Liberty 73.

Allen was 11-of-15 from the field, including 6 of 7 from 3-point range. The fifth-year player set her previous high of 21 points last Wednesday. In recent weeks, Marine Johannes and Amanda Zuhai B have had career nights with the Liberty.
