DETROIT — Bowling Green State University football will field one of the youngest rosters in college football for the 2021 season.
Youth will be the biggest hurdle for the Falcons to overcome. Twenty-one players on BGSU’s roster are upperclassmen, while the rest are redshirt freshmen, true freshmen, and sophomores.
“We're looking to make progress. We're looking to to find leaders on our team, because we're not a coach-driven team, we're more so a player-driven team,” Loeffler said at the Mid-American Conference football media day on Tuesday. “So most of the time when you have a freshman or sophomore, they're able to watch 25 seniors lead.
