With defense clicking, offense has chance to catch up at Kent State

BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University’s football team is coming down from the highest point the program has had in a handful of years.

With their 14-10 victory at Minnesota, the Falcons were able to showcase a glimpse into what having a sound defense can do for a team’s chances of winning weekly.

But the offense, led by senior quarterback Matt McDonald, still has work to do. Despite the win, the Falcons posted just 192 yards of offense on 61 plays (3.15 per play) and were limited to just 22 net rushing yards on 25 carries.
