Winning streak comes to an end for BGSU at Central Michigan

Bowling Green fell behind Tuesday at Central Michigan, and this time, the Falcons couldn’t come back.

The Chippewas snapped Bowling Green’s eight-game winning streak with a 92-82 victory at McGuirk Arena in a matchup of the two division leaders in the Mid-American Conference.

BG (17-6, 8-2 MAC), which had overcome a number of deficits during its winning streak — the Falcons won all eight games by an average of four points — trailed all night against Central Michigan (13-8, 6-2).

Despite a sublime performance from guard Justin Turner, who poured in 31 points and made all 11 of his free-throw attempts, the Falcons couldn’t keep pace with Central Michigan.
