BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Willie Lightfoot, a 6-foot point guard from Niagara Falls, N.Y., has signed an NLI to play for the Bowling Green State University men's basketball program. Lightfoot selected Bowling Green over offers from Alabama, Marquette, Minnesota, Oregon and Buffalo.
"I am excited to welcome Willie Lightfoot to our family," said Head Coach Michael Huger. "Willie is a dynamic point guard, relentless on-ball defender and has an elite ability to create shots for both his teammates and also himself. While we were recruiting him, I was continually impressed with his ability to navigate a ball screen and operate off of a pick-and-roll.
