BOWLING GREEN — Even with a new coach, almost an entirely new coaching staff, and significant roster turnover from last season, Bowling Green State University’s football team is expected to be in the top half of the Mid-American Conference and qualify for another bowl game.
According to ESPN’s Football Power Index rankings, which were released Tuesday, the Falcons have a 7.3 percent chance of winning the MAC, trailing Toledo (28.1 percent), Miami (19.5), Ohio (16), and Northern Illinois (11.7).
BGSU, under first-year head coach Eddie George, is ranked 104th overall nationally in the FPI, nearly identical to last season when it was 103rd.
