LEXINGTON, Ky.- The Bowling Green State University volleyball team has been recognized by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) for academic excellence with the AVCA Team Academic Award, marking the 20th consecutive season the Falcons have earned the award. In being named, BGSU maintains the status of being one of five programs in Division I to be recognized for a minimum of 15 straight years. Of the five, three programs compete in the Mid-American Conference.
The 2019-20 award marks the 21st time in the program's 26-year history that the Falcons have been named for academic excellence by the AVCA.
