Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Jet's Pizza Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's golfer Rodrigue Vie and softball player Payton Gottshall.
Rodrigue Vie, a junior from Epinal, France, went 3-0 in match play at the Earl Yestingmeier Match Play Tournament in Dade City, Fla. this week. Vie, who was one of just two golfers to card two eagles over the course of the tournament, defeated competitors from Drake, Xavier and Ball State as the Falcons went 2-1 as a team at the event.
