Two Power Play Goals Not Enough As Falcons Fall Short In Overtime

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The No. 15 Bowling Green State University hockey team fell to the No. 3 Minnesota State Mavericks on Saturday night (Jan. 18) in overtime by a score of 3-2. The Falcons jumped out to a 2-0 lead thanks to two power play goals, one in each of the first two periods. However, Minnesota State answered with a power play goal of their own in the third period followed by another goal with just over two minutes remaining in regulation. In the overtime period, the Mavericks found the back of the net to claim the win.
