Tough early schedule giving Bowling Green women's basketball chances to grow

BOWLING GREEN — The trip to Annapolis, Md., was night and day for Bowling Green’s women’s basketball team.

The Falcons dropped both contests in the Navy Classic tournament over the weekend, but both losses were by a combined six points. BGSU fell to 1-4 following a 77-75 loss on Saturday to George Mason in overtime and a 76-72 defeat on Sunday to Liberty.

But there is no panic.

The nonconference schedule has been grueling, including losses along the way to a strong IUPUI team and nationally-ranked Ohio State.

Coach Robyn Fralick said the games BGSU have played in have been cornerstones for learning experiences.
