Cleveland, Ohio - Kenzie Lewis and Elissa Brett each recorded double-doubles as the Bowling Green State University women's basketball team defeated Eastern Michigan in the Mid-American Conference Tournament quarterfinals Wednesday, 63-47.
BGSU, the No. 1 overall seed, overcame a 10-point halftime deficit by outscoring eighth-seeded Eastern Michigan 42-16 in the second half. The Falcons shot 70 percent in the fourth quarter and made 20-of-22 free-throws in the second half. Lewis had 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Brett added 13 points and 10 boards. Kadie Hempfling had a team-high 15 points to go with four assists, three rebounds and three steals.
