Redshirt junior quarterback Matt McDonald enters the spring as the frontrunner for the starting quarterback position in the 2020 season. A transfer from Boston College, McDonald appeared in two games in 2018 for the Eagles, completing 7-of-8 passes for 118 yards and two touchdowns.
In high school, McDonald was a standout quarterback at one of the nation's premier programs at Mission Viejo High School in California.
