Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Jet's Pizza Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are hockey player Tyler Spezia and track and field student-athlete Elizabeth Iversen.
Male Athlete of the Week
Tyler Spezia, a senior from Clinton Township, Mich., led the Falcons with four points on the weekend by scoring three goals and one assist. Posting multi-point performances both nights, Spezia helped the Falcons to a sweep of Lake Superior State with eight shots on goal and a plus-3 rating on the ice.
