The Falcons softball team was back at home this weekend, where they took on conference rival Akron Zips. It was a two-game series, in which they were able to complete the sweep by the final scores of 5 – 1 and 7 – 5.
Junior Brooke Parker pitched in the first slated game, where she only allowed two hits on the day, earning her tenth win of the season. The Falcons managed to score two runs in the bottom of the first inning. Junior Alex Sorgi reached on an error to get the first inning rally going followed by a hit by pitch of freshman Sammy Dees.
