BOWLING GREEN — The midweek portion of Bowling Green State University’s 2023 football schedule begins with a new opponent for the Falcons in the Scot Loeffler era.
For the first time since 2015, BGSU (4-4, 2-2 Mid-American Conference) will square off with Ball State (2-6, 1-3 MAC) when the Falcons host the Cardinals at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Doyt Perry Stadium. Although Loeffler — in his fifth year leading the Falcons — has never faced Ball State, he has a lot of respect for eighth-year coach Mike Neu, who guided the Cardinals to a MAC title in 2020.
