The University of Toledo capitalized on a short field to score a pair of early touchdowns, and the Rockets went on to post a 38-3 win over the Bowling Green State University football team at the Glass Bowl Wednesday night (Nov. 4).
The game was the 2020 season opener for both teams. The Falcons and Rockets entered the evening's festivities deadlocked, 40-40-4, in the all-time series.
After the fast start by the Rockets, the BGSU defense held UT in check over the remainder of the first half. Toledo found the end zone on three-straight possessions to begin the game, but the Falcons stopped the Rockets on downs on the next possession before forcing four-straight punts.
