BOWLING GREEN — Five years after playing his final game at the Stroh Center, Richaun Holmes brought the Bowling Green crowd to its feet one more time.
The program’s all-time leader in blocked shots parlayed his foremost skill into a chance at the National Basketball Association and has not looked back, and now is in his fifth season at the top of the basketball world.
Currently with the Sacramento Kings, who play the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday, Holmes returned to be honored by his alma mater at halftime of the Falcons’ game against Eastern Michigan.
Holmes’ consistent growth turned him into an NBA regular, but he said he always appreciated the chance to return to the place where he played from 2012-15.
