BOWLING GREEN – The aura that surrounds new Bowling Green State University football coach and former Heisman Trophy winner Eddie George is pretty high wherever he goes.
Just ask recent BGSU transfer quarterback Drew Pyne.
“He’s kind of got a calm, cool demeanor, but a real swagger to him and a real confidence when he walks around,” Pyne said during Mid-American Conference media day on July 24 at Ford Field in Detroit. “I walked into this stadium today, he was walking in front of me and [defensive end] Eriq [George], and I almost got the chills.
“Walking out on a field with that guy as your head coach, we’re going to play harder because he’s our head coach.
