EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Bowling Green Falcons tennis team completed the first day of competition at the Spartan Invite, the first competition of the 2022-23 season. Maru Poppe, playing with Youngstown State's Jessica Stanmore, advanced in the 'D' flight. The duo won their doubles match against Chicago State's Katy Dukic and Amina Taibi, then Poppe cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win over Dukic in singles play.
Also competing in the 'D' flight were BGSU newcomers Eloise Saraty and Lucy Furness. They fell in doubles play to Michigan State's Sarah Fazlagic and Monique Karoub.
