AKRON, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team was defeated by the University of Akron, 74-59, Tuesday (Feb. 11) evening. The Mid-American Conference contest was played inside of UA's James A. Rhodes Arena. Despite the loss, BGSU remains all alone in first place in the MAC.
Bowling Green drops to 18-7 (9-3 MAC) with the loss, while Akron improves to 18-6 (8-3 MAC). With just six games remaining, the Falcons hold a half-game lead over the Zips for first place in the conference.
