A pair of Bowling Green State University men's soccer standouts have been named to the 2021 Academic All-District® Men's Soccer Team, selected by CoSIDA. Michael Montemurri and Kale Nichols each have been named to the team.
The Academic All-District® Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Montemurri, a native of Windsor, Ontario, Canada (Holy Names Catholic), has started all 17 matches this season, and leads the Falcons in minutes played.
