MAC media day: Bowling Green football looking for consistency in 2022 season

CLEVELAND — Bowling Green State University football experienced highs and lows last fall.

The Falcons shocked the college football world and upset Minnesota on the road. After the stunning win, BGSU crashed down and lost the following four games.

BGSU then won two of its final four games for its first four-win season since 2016.

Last season, BGSU fielded one of the youngest teams in the Football Bowl Subdivision. A year later, it has the highest percentage of returning production in the country.

The 2022 campaign is about steadiness for the more-experienced Falcons.

“We just want to bring in consistency, be elite throughout our whole season, not have ups and downs, and just keep improving,” defensive lineman Karl Brooks said Tuesday at the Mid-American Conference football media day

BGSU returns 92 percent of its production from last season: 95 percent from its offense (first nationally) and 88 percent from its defense (fifth).
