Live Coverage: Bowling Green 7, Northern Illinois 0 — 2nd Quarter

DeKALB, Ill. — We’ve seen this movie before with BGSU football. But, this time, how does it play out?

The Falcons once again forced a turnover on their opponent’s first possession, and it resulted in a touchdown score that gave them a 7-0 lead after the end of the first quarter.

Northern Illinois deferred the coin toss to the second half, and BGSU stalled around midfield and punted its first possession away. Beginning on their own 12-yard line, the Huskies were able to get to the 37 before BGSU defensive back Jalen Burton forced a fumble of NIU running back Antario Brown, and Jordan Anderson recovered it at the NIU 36.
