CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced the MAC Players of the Week Monday afternoon (Sept. 26) for the first weekend of the conference season. Of those named, Bowling Green's freshman outside hitter Lauryn Hovey was named the MAC East Offensive Player of the Week. This is Hovey's first time receiving the recognition as a Falcon.
Hovey was excellent on the court for the Falcons in the weekend sweep over Kent State. Hovey logged a double-double with kills and assists in each match. On Friday (Sept. 23) the double-double was fueled by 11 kills along with a career-high 21 assists.
