Bowling Green State University women's soccer standout Maureen Kennedy has been named the Mid-American Conference's Female Scholar-Athlete of the Week. Kennedy earns this award for the first time in her BGSU career. The Scholar-Athlete-of-the-Week awards were announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon (Oct. 9).
Kennedy, a native of Cypress, Calif., has received several honors this week. On Tuesday (Oct. 8), she was named the MAC Defensive Player of the Week, and she also earned honorable mention on the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week.
Kennedy made major contributions at both ends of the field as the Falcons won two more matches to remain undefeated in the MAC last weekend.
