CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced Bowling Green junior Kayla Davis as this week's MAC Women's Golfer of the Week on Thursday afternoon (Sept. 23). The recognition comes after Davis placed first at the Cardinal Classic earlier this week, marking her first collegiate victory. Davis is the first Falcon to receive the weekly award since Jessica Madry during the 2018-19 season.
Davis utilized career-best scores in the first and third rounds of the Cardinal Classic, each being a score of 73, paired with a second round score of 74 to propel her to an event score of 220, ending just +4 for the tournament.
