Cleveland, Ohio – For the third time this year, Bowling Green State University senior Jovannah East has been named the Mid-American Conference Gymnast of the Week. East earned the award for the seventh time in her career.
Over the course of two weekend road meets, East won four individual events and both all-around competitions. She equaled her season-best all-around score with a 39.300 Sunday at Brown after posting a 39.225 at Temple.
At the Temple quad meet, East won both the vault and floor exercise with scores of 9.875 and 9.900 respectively. She followed that up with beam and floor exercise victories at Brown's tri-meet, scoring a 9.
