BOWLING GREEN — At one point last season, Jordan Anderson was among the large group of Bowling Green players stashed away for later, a possible redshirt candidate whose time looked to be in the future.
At a moment's notice, those plans were balled up and thrown away — the Falcons needed Anderson to play immediately.
BG lost a starting safety to injury during the week of its Notre Dame game, so Anderson, the true freshman from Detroit, was thrust into the lineup just in time to find himself on the field opposite a top-10 team and future NFL players like receiver Chase Claypool and tight end Cole Kmet.
