Mid-American Conference Release BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Jessica Madry, a junior on the BGSU women's golf team, was named the Mid-American Conference Female Scholar Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced Wednesday (Oct. 17) afternoon. Madry is a biology major and currently owns a flawless 4.0 GPA.
The native of Houston, Texas, shot a 141 to break the 36-hole school record on her way to a three-stroke victory at the 2018 Shirley Spork Invitational (Oct. 8-9). Madry opened the tournament with a career-low 71, and then the following day, topped that career low by carding a final-round 70.
