FIRST QUARTER

Bowling Green won the toss and elected to defer its choice to the second half. Marshall struck first when wide receiver Corey Gammage took a short pass from quarterback Henry Colombi and scampered 51 yards for a touchdown despite appearing to go down briefly. Review upheld the score to give the Thundering Herd a 7-0 lead.

The Falcons went three-and-out on their initial possession, and Marshall quickly tallied again with a 78-yard touchdown pass from Colombi to wide receiver Caleb McMillan.
